Description:
The brake caliper is a central component of every disc brake. Defects on the brake caliper usually arise from rust, brittle seals or by increased thermal load during the braking process. A jammed brake caliper often makes itself noticeable by a noticeable start-up resistance with any noise and odor development or by moving straight out at straight outing. A defect on the brake caliper means that the brake system is not functional and the damaged brake caliper must be changed immediately.

S-brake calipers made of aluminum, which were considered innovation on the 911, since this ensure improved braking performance and better heat discharge in addition to a lower weight!
