Description:
In the activated carbon container, unbroken fuel vapors are collected and then fed to the engine by fuel ventilation. A defective activated carbon container often leads to poor engine running and escaping fuel stamps.

The shut -off valve can be installed in two different places, depending on the load (ORVR). Once the valve sits in the activated carbon container, alternatively it is installed in the 996 turbo in the valve housing of the tank ventilation. The 996 Turbo has installed another valve, which you can also find in our shop. If you uncertainties, you can compare the OE parts number from Porsche. This is located in white on its original part. It is visible after expansion of the shut -off valve.

In 1909, the Pierburg brothers founded Pierburg GmbH in Berlin, which has been producing carburetor since then. In 1986 the Düsseldorf Rheinmetall Group took over the company and thus began building up the Automobiltechnik division. In 1998 Pierburg merged with the Kolbenschmidt AG company, which was also acquired by Rheinmetall, into Kolbenschmidt Pierburg AG. Rheinmetall AG is very well positioned "around the engine". Pierburg is considered an expert in pollutant reduction, air supply and throttle valves within the Kolbenschmidt Pierburg Group.
