Description: For your gear vision, we hereby offer you a real seal in excellent quality. The sealing rates of the 901/902 gearbox are naturally different depending on the form of the housing. A distinction is made between the magnesium housings (die -casting methods) and the aluminum housings (coconious casting). Up to and including model year 1968, the gearboxes were only built with aluminum houses and thus in the coconious casting process. In model year 1969 (from gearbox 901.06), the alloys and the manufacturing process were converted to die casting. The changeover was carried out equally on the 901 and 902 drives. The 911s with 2.2L already had the magnesium housing (die casting), regardless of whether 4-speed (911.00 in 911t) or 5-speed (911.01 in 911e/911s). The gearboxes with magnesium housing are mostly called 911 transmission. In our shop you will find both seals and other spare parts for your gear vision.
