Description:
The fuel memory holds the system pressure in the system according to the motor stop (holding pressure). Due to the still existing pressure, no gas bubbles can form in the line at the hot start, since the fuel is under pressure and does not boil so quickly. In addition, the stop pressure when starting the cold ensures that there is always enough gasoline. In this way, the gasoline memory ensures good starting behavior of the engine.
Pressure fluctuations in the system by the fuel pump or the like are also balanced.
A defect is noticeable by poor start behavior and can be determined with the help of a manometer in the fuel line.
