Description:
Components in the valve drive are subject to high loads at changing temperatures. Controlled by the camshaft, the actuation is operated via the tipping lever onto the valves.
Clacking / nailing noises, especially in the case of cold engine, are signs of worn components in the valve control or incorrectly set valve game.
In the event of overhaul or maintenance, worn or damaged components must be replaced immediately in order to avoid consequential damage.
