Description:
The 4-component translation is a frequent source of error on motometer kilometers of various models. The drives affected are installed in many vehicles of European, Japanese and American brands worldwide. Including BMW motorcycles.

The drive consists of 4 gears:
- The driving gear E1 is identical to everyone and has 12 teeth (for VDO and motometer)
- gear Mm2 (Double tooth wheel) in 4 variants (mm2, mm2c, mm2d, mm2e)

Notes:
We have a variety of speedometers for motometers, VDO and other tachos and instruments. Unfortunately, the exact combination (vehicle model for gear variant) cannot be determined for each model, but for the known and most common combinations we have separate offers in the shop.
The purchase of a used speedometer may save the repair, but the risk that the gear will break promptly here too.
In particular, storage times and cold temperatures damage the gears. You also keep your original mileage with the repair!
If you have disassembled the speedometer, the exchange of the light bulbs is also recommended. Over the years, these noticeably lose performance. You are available from every car dealership and accessories business.
