Description:
The cathedral bearing forms the connection between the shock absorber and body and is therefore also called the strut warehouse. Before the cathedral bearing can be attached to the body, the feathers must be pretended in most cases and mounted on the shock absorber with the cathedral bearing.
A defective cathedral bearing is noticeable by creaking or grinding noises.
Due to the considerable assembly effort, it is advisable to always replace the cathedral bearings when exchanging the shock absorbers or spring legs or other work on the chassis.
The trimmers of the cathedral bearings are often rusty / corroded and should always be changed.
